Whether your new to yoga, have practiced yoga in the past or currently practicing yoga welcome to Peaceful Turtle Yoga!  Yoga can transform your life and if you have and or currently practicing you may have already experienced the wonderful benefits of yoga.

I have established Peaceful Turtle Yoga to enable me to bring the wonderful practice of yoga to people of all ages and ablilites. My name is Tammy Owens and I am very passionate about sharing and teaching my knowledge of yoga to you. I am able to bring yoga to you in your home, business, organization or you can come to one of the many classes I teach in the area studios and fitness centers. In my combinded years of practicing and teaching yoga, I have experienced and witnessed first hand how this amazing and ancient practice of yoga can transform lives. I am excited to help you get started on your journey of life transformation.

What can yoga do for you?  -  If you are sick, it can help you feel better.  If you are depressed or anxious, feel fatigued all the time, turn to drugs or alcohol for comfort or bothered by low back pain, yoga can set you on the path to recovery. Maybe you suffer with chronic health problems such as arthritis, MS, diabetes or fibromaliga, a consistant yoga practice can help you relieve your symptoms for a better quality of life. You may suffer from temporary symptoms such as headaches, sinus pressure, hot flashes, then specific yoga poses and pranayama (breath control) practices, can bring relief.  Even if you are currently in good health, yoga is a great preventive practice.

What is yoga?  -  Yoga is a comprehensive, scientific system that can reduce stress, improve balance, increase flexibilty, lower blood pressure, promote all over strength, strenghen bones, lift mood, improve immune function, increase oxygen supply to tissues, conditions cardiovascular system, fosters psychological equanimity and promote spiritual well-being.  Yoga is about optimizing the function of every system in your body. With practice, you are strengthening and calming the nervous system. You are increasing the blood flow to internal organs and bringing more oxygen to your cells. You are clearing the mental clutter that can wreck your life, allowing you to see things more clearly You are cultivation ghe spirtual muscles in a way that can make you happier, less anxious and more at peace.
